- Government and banks constantly tell people to be careful
- Ask to complain if fraud occurs
- Complaint can be filed immediately if it is online fraud
The Cyber Cell of Delhi Police and the Ministry of Home Affairs have issued a helpline number to help the people. Here, you can immediately file a complaint if there is any type of online fraud. The Ministry of Home Affairs and the Cyber Cell of Delhi Police have jointly started the 155260 helpline. If there is any type of online fraud with you, then they can call this number to file a complaint.
After that, in 7-8 minutes, the amount withdrawn from the account would have gone to another account, then the helpline will get an alert message to that bank or financial institution, after which the money will go on hold. The 155260 pilot project with the Home Ministry’s Cyber Portal and Delhi Police Cyber Cell was launched last year to stop online fraud and now it has been launched with full power.
The most important thing is that this helpline has ten lines, that is, the callers will not get this number busy. When any person calls the helpline number, he will be asked his name, number, and time of fraud. After collecting the information, it will be delivered to the portal associated with it, the bank or financial institution concerned and information will be shared with the victim to the bank concerned. The most noticeable thing is to file a complaint as soon as possible after the fraud occurs.
