The statement given by the Railways said, “IRCTC, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Food and Public Distribution has gradually introduced itself as one of the country’s first government ‘One Stop Shop Travel Portal Is growing in form. ” It has also said that in order to provide better experience to the people, IRCTC has already made available its rail and flight service. At the same time, online bus booking services have also been started, which has been made live from 29 January 2021.

To book a bus ticket online, users have to visit https://www.bus.irctc.co.in/home. After this, users will have to provide their departure and arrival details. Travelers will also be given the option to select their seats. Before booking, users will be able to check the pictures of the bus. According to the website, tickets for a maximum of 6 people can be booked at one go. Users will be able to book buses of State Road Transport Corporation including UPSRTC, APSRTC, GSRTC, OSRTC, Kerala RTC etc.
Under the IRCTC statement, more than 50,000 state road transport as well as private bus operators have partnered covering 22 states and three union territories to provide online bus booking service to customers. Under the new service of online bus booking, customers will be allowed to check different types of buses, select services, reviews and ratings. In addition, customers will also be able to choose their own timing including pick-up and drop points. Its payment can be done through bank and e-wallet.
IRCTC’s new business initiative will provide passengers with a better connectivity experience for using IRCTC’s service for train and flight ticket booking.
