How to withdraw money through this technique: With the help of this new service, users will be able to withdraw money using their phone and any UPI-enabled application like BHIM, Paytm, GPay, PhonePe, etc. For this you will not need any debit and credit card. For this, you have to follow the following steps.

  • First of all, you have to go to an ATM that supports this service. After this, the user will have to open any UPI app in their smartphone to withdraw money from the ATM machine. Then the QR code given in the machine has to be scanned from the UPI app.
  • Then the amount you want to remove must be entered.
  • Now you have to authorize the transaction by going to the UPI app.
  • After the transaction is complete, you will be able to withdraw money.

Because, QR codes are dynamic and change with every transaction. Therefore they cannot be copied. It also ensures that the transaction is secured through this process. Under this new system, users can currently withdraw up to Rs 5,000. So let’s know from when this facility will be implemented and how safe it will be.

When will this facility be available?
NCR Corporation and NPCI are currently in talks on how to implement this facility in all ATMs in the country. Both bodies are in constant touch with public and private sector banks and may make a formal announcement related to this service in the next few months.

A spokesperson for NCR Corporation has said that it has upgraded its existing software to allow this service at City Union ATMs. Because there is no need to upgrade the hardware for this, this service can be made available at all ATMs in the country.
