Twitter first launched Voice DM in these countries including India, know what is this feature

Twitter has started testing the new voice messaging feature for Direct Message (DM) on the platform. The feature is being launched in a phased manner for users in India, Brazil and Japan from Wednesday, 17 February. Last year, the company released the Voice Tweets feature and now users can send voice notes through Direct Message (DM). Like Voice Tweet, each Voice DM can be up to 140 seconds long. This testing feature is available for both Android and iOS users.

Sending voice notes to DM is quite easy. You open any chat in your DMs on Twitter or start a new chat. Tap the voice recording icon once to record your message and once again tap on the same icon to finish recording. You can also listen to the recorded message before sending it. This method is slightly different for iOS users. Here, you have to press and hold the voice recording icon to record the message and leaving the icon swiped up leaves the message.

Sending Voice DM to Twitter is being made available only for Android and iOS users, but users can also listen to voice messages sent or received on mobile devices through a web browser. Twitter says the new feature will help users express themselves and further improve the entire experience for storytellers and listeners.
